Kerrie Rosati, our Solicitor Director, is regarded as one of the industry's leading experts in legal costs law.

She has advised on legal costs issues in many high profile and complex cases in New South Wales and Federal jurisdictions. Kerrie also lectures regularly to the legal profession on legal costing issues, including at the State Legal Conference, College of Law and other commerical seminar providers.

Kerrie is a current member of the Supreme Court of NSW's Costs Assessors' Users Group under the supervision of Justice Brereton and the Costs Working Group of the Law Society of New South Wales.

Kerrie graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology in 1988 and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of the Supreme Court of NSW on 1 July 1988. After working in a large commercial law firm and taking some time off to raise her family, Kerrie joined DG Thompson in February 1998.

Kerrie is backed by 20 legally qualified costs consultants and 4 in-house solicitors.

 

Tara Ryan joined DG Thompson as a legal costs consultant in March 1999 after working as a paralegal and then solicitor specialising in personal injury litigation. Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts from Sydney University and a Diploma of Law from the Legal Practitioners Admission Board and she was admitted as a solicitor in September 1996.

Tara has prepared bills of costs and provided advice on legal costs issues in all New South Wales, ACT, Queensland and federal jurisdictions. Tara has particular expertise and experience in advising clients and drawing bills of costs in large catastrophic personal injury matters. Tara is one of our in-house solicitor / costs consultants.

 

Jacqueline Highfield holds a Masters of Laws from Sydney University and was admitted as a solicitor in 1995. Jacqueline worked in a large commercial firm before joining DG Thompson as a legal costs consultant in early 2000.

Jacqueline has extensive and varied experience in legal costs law in all New South Wales, Queensland and Federal jurisdictions having drawn bills of costs and advising on costs in many large and high profile matters. Jacqueline also lectures regularly on legal costs and provides expert reports as to costs and appears in Court in that capacity. Jacqueline also works as one of our in-house solicitor costs consultants.

 

Toni Mossman has been practising as a costs consultant for over 10 years, having joined DG Thompson in 1999 after practising for 7 years as a solicitor.

Toni has extensive experience in all areas of costing work including bill preparation, in-house costsing and advice work. She has particular experience in the preparation of bills for large matters, having worked on many large, complex commercial litigation matters and having been extensively involved in the costs assessment process for the HMAS Voyager litigation. She currently works as one of our in-house solicitors / costs consultants.

 

Ruth Chowdhury is the Managing Solicitor of our Queensland office based in Spring Hill in Brisbane. Ruth holds a Bachelor of Laws from QUT and was admitted as a solicitor in 1997. Ruth specialised in insurance and commercial litigation and spent some time in precedent and practice support roles in a large firm before joing DG Thompson as a legal costs lawyer in 2010.

Ruth prepares itemised costs statements. bills of costs and notices of objection. She is also able to advise on all legal costing issues in Queensland and federal jurisdictions. Ruth regularly reviews costs agreements and advises as to compliance with the Legal Profession Act 2007 and lectures to the profession on costs.

Ruth is a Court appointed costs assessor in Queensland.

 

Robyn Davis is a senior costs consultant to DG Thompson and is also a Court appointed costs assessor.

Robyn holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from ANU and a Master of Laws from the University of Adelaide. She was admitted as a solicitor in 1986 and has extensive experience in practice in both large and small firms and Commonwealth Government departments in the ACT, Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland.

Robyn originally joined DG Thompson in 1990 in New South Wales. She re-joined the firm in 2000 as a consultant and has more than 20 years experience in legal costs in Queensland, New South Wales, ACT and all federal jurisdictions.
